Factors influencing the dynamic stiffness in short‐fiber reinforced polymers

In short-fiber reinforced polymers, fatigue damage is typically characterized by measuring the dynamic stiffness and its degradation under cyclic loading. Computational homogenization methods may be used to characterize behavior of composite via numerical predictions. Such an approach reduce experimental effort significantly. previous works, authors proposed elastic model for predicting relative materials. However, absolute value within first cycle showed deviations from expected material behavior. Thus, effect viscoelastic polymer as well different microstructure descriptors on studied in work at hand.
